Description

Done in Photoshop with Wacom tablet. Photo reference used. This took me a couple of months working on and off. I am a portrait artist and work usually in colored pencil but I am still new to digital artwork and did some paint over (actually just an outlined sketch) but did all the painting using the photo side by side. Thanks for looking!

This is impressive! The skin tones are especially nice. Do you have a link to the reference so we can compare? :)

Great Mel portrait. I love the color you used. The only critique would be just a bit more roughness to his skin and a few more lines. I don't know how a man can look so gorgeous with all those lines but Mel does. I bet you referenced an older photo of him though....so don't mind me. This is lovely work.

The skin color is what gets me. It's appealing. The flatness imposed by the artist makes the focus -the color. For some flatness is detracting, but you would be suprized how many like it any ways. Good Job! It has a LOOK to it.
